ClearCorrect

Have you avoided treatment for crooked, overcrowded, or misaligned teeth because you don't want to wear bulky metal braces?

ClearCorrect™ is a discreet, removable orthodontic option that aligns your teeth without the hassle of metal wires and brackets.

Learn how Dr. Grant Heller in Victoria, TX, can give you a straighter smile with this popular and effective treatment.

What Is ClearCorrect?

Demonstration of Clear Correct aligners

Our Victoria dentist uses ClearCorrect to address mild to moderate orthodontic issues, including gaps and crowding. ClearCorrect is an orthodontic alternative to traditional braces. It uses a series of removable clear aligner trays to gently shift your teeth into proper alignment.

Each set of clear aligners is worn for about two weeks before it is swapped out for the next set. ClearCorrect can straighten your smile with results similar to braces on a shortened treatment time frame of about 12 to 18 months.

The Benefits of ClearCorrect

Our Victoria ClearCorrect patients opt for clear aligners due to advantages such as:

Discreet Treatment

Because ClearCorrect aligners are clear and stain-resistant, they are virtually unnoticeable, and most people won't realize you are wearing them. You can also take your aligners out for important events and photographs.

Comfort and Safety

ClearCorrect aligners are BPA-free, making them a safe treatment. They're also made of smooth plastic, so they're a more comfortable orthodontic option than traditional braces.

Quick Timeline

Mild bite issues can be resolved with ClearCorrect in as few as three months. While more moderate issues may take 12 to 18 months, the overall treatment time is still shorter compared to regular braces, which on average take about 24 months.

Improved Oral Health

Misaligned teeth can make it difficult to brush and floss properly. Straightening your teeth can make dental hygiene easier. A properly aligned bite also reduces your risk of wearing down tooth enamel and developing painful TMJ issues, problems that can require restorative dentistry to correct.

No Dietary Restrictions

Unlike metal braces, clear aligners are removable and should be taken out when eating. Because of this, there is no need to worry about avoiding the foods you love for fear of damaging your orthodontic appliance.

Is ClearCorrect Right for Me?

Clear aligner systems have been a trusted orthodontic treatment option to straighten smiles for over 20 years. While most patients are suitable candidates for ClearCorrect aligners, Dr. Heller will determine your candidacy by considering:

Your Commitment to Treatment

Patients must be committed to wearing their aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day. Consistency is key for optimal results. If you cannot commit to wearing the aligners as instructed, traditional orthodontics like braces may be a better option for you.

The Severity of Your Misalignment

Clear aligners like the ClearCorrect system are a proven solution for correcting mild to moderate misalignment. If you have severe misalignment, you may need traditional braces to straighten your smile.

Paying for ClearCorrect

The price of ClearCorrect treatment varies from patient to patient due to their individual dental needs. Patients with mild misalignment generally pay less as fewer aligners and appointments are needed to complete treatment; however, we do everything we can to make treatment affordable for all of our patients.

Insurance

Unlike most cosmetic dentistry, clear aligners can improve your oral health and prevent problems that would be costly to fix. Because of this, your dental insurance may cover all or most of your treatment. Our Victoria office accepts most insurance plans.

Financing

Grant Heller, DDS doesn't want financial barriers to prevent patients from achieving a straighter smile, so we accept financing from CareCredit®. This allows patients to fit any out-of-pocket costs comfortably into their budget.

How Do Clear Aligners Work?

Clear aligners like ClearCorrect work by using gentle, constant pressure to guide your teeth into alignment. Every few weeks, you'll switch out your clear aligner trays for a new set, allowing your teeth to continue moving into their ideal alignment. ClearCorrect treatment typically lasts about 12 to 18 months, but mild concerns can take as few as three months to treat.

How to Take Care of Your Clear Aligners

You'll need to wear your aligners for about 22 hours a day. There are a few things you can do to protect your aligners and enjoy a smooth treatment experience. Remember to:

Remove for Meals

Don't forget to remove your clear aligners before you eat. Patients should also take out their aligners whenever they drink liquids other than water. Our team suggests placing your aligners in your case while eating so you don't lose them or accidentally throw them away.

Clean After Eating

ClearCorrect makes it easy to maintain good oral hygiene, as you don't have to brush and floss around brackets and wires. Simply remove your clear aligners, brush and floss normally, and clean your aligner trays with mild soap and a soft-bristle brush.

Save Old Aligners

Thinking ahead can save you some stress. We recommend that patients save their old aligners to wear in case they lose or damage their current ones. If that happens, just let us know about your problem and we'll happily get you back on track.

Understanding Your Aligner Treatment What to Expect From Our Office

The treatment timeline for ClearCorrect varies by patient. Some patients only need a few months of treatment, while others require more time. Your treatment will involve several steps:

Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation with Dr. Heller at his dental practice in Victoria, he will examine your mouth, discuss your dental history, and ask about your goals. If he decides that you could benefit from ClearCorrect, you can move forward with treatment.

Digital Impressions

Using digital technology, your dentist will take impressions of your mouth. This will allow him to determine how to best move each tooth into its ideal alignment and create your treatment plan.

Dental Laboratory

Using your impressions, your custom aligner trays will be crafted in a lab. When the aligners are complete, they will be sent to our Victoria dental office

Wear Aligners

You will receive your first set of aligners from our practice and start wearing them immediately. After about two weeks, you will move on to the next set in the series. Dr. Heller will see you throughout your treatment to monitor your progress.

Final Checkup

You'll come in for one final appointment to confirm that you're done with treatment. During this visit, our dentist will examine your bite and teeth to ensure they are properly aligned, as well as answer any questions. He may also gather measurements for your new retainer.

Maintaining Your Results
With a Retainer

Once your treatment is complete you may be provided with a retainer, though many patients are able to use their final set of aligners as a retainer. Regularly using a retainer is the only way to keep your teeth from shifting back into their misaligned position.

Most patients wear their retainer every night indefinitely, but Dr. Heller will instruct you on what is best for you. Because your retainer works just like clear aligners, patients find it easy to stay in the habit. Plus, this time around, you'll only have to wear it as you sleep — far less than you used to wear your aligners.
